The stars miraculously aligned so that Daniel and Agnieszka could have a day off together, sans kids! Daniel had the great idea of going on Steep Ravine-Matt Davis trail loop, which Agnieszka loved to hike as a teenager. The trail is 6.8 miles in length, climbing over 1700 feet (felt like more). It starts out near Stinson beach and enters the coastal forest before ascending to the foothills of Mt. Tam, with pretty ocean views in the background. On the way down, we hiked through a ravine following a stream and its little waterfalls. One of the more fun and unusual parts of this hike is that it includes this (very solid) wooden ladder, so it might be interesting to do this with a baby in a carrier...
