September days around the house

We packed a lot into our month, but also took some time to enjoy "home play time".

Last weekend in Sept....more beach!

Guess what?  We went back to the beach during our last weekend in September.  It was a chillier than before, but still lots of fun.  Auggie found some fishermen to watch, and was promptly told that he was good luck, after they caught a big fish.  He was hooked. 

Afterwards, we went to Babcia and Dziadek's house to celebrate Dziadek and Agnieszka's September birthdays.

Busy weekend, including...back to the beach and almost camping!

On Friday, Agnieszka picked up Auggie early from school and she and the kids went to enjoy the El Cerrito late summer heat wave at Splash Park and the local pool.  There was some drama (really?) but we only have pictures of the fond memories.

The next morning, Papa and his mini-me started the day off with some healthy oatmeal...and then we set off...for...the...beach!

It was a bit of a different day at the beach this time.  Foggy and windy, with not too many people around.   This led to new adventures: Ella valiantly tried to chase off the seagulls eyeing our snacks, while Auggie and Papa chased the waves.

The day didn't end there.  After a full morning on the beach, we drove from Stinson Beach to a Spring Lake Park and Campground to join our friends who were camping there.  They had brought their canoe and Auggie had his first canoeing trip.  Afterwards, the kids played hide and seek at the playground, while parents prepped homemade burritos.  We finished the evening off with a campfire and roasted marshmallows before driving back home. 

Ferry trip and Solano Stroll

Saturday, Sept 14-15, was full of adventures, as well.  While Agnieszka was off at work and Kristen took Ella on fun trips to the zoo and Chabot museum, Daniel and Auggie took the SF Ferry to the Exploratorium on Saturday and joined the Parker family at the annual Solano stroll.  Auggie was far more excited about the rides this year.

Beach!!

We love the beach.  It is the perfect place for tired parents, curious toddlers and energetic 5 year olds.  We had so much fun at Stinson Beach that Agnieszka said "lets just come here every weekend I am not working, even if it's winter".
