Joy, Truman and Mercer visit

Joy, Truman and Mercer came to meet August last week.  All had a great time and Joy took these sweet pictures.

One month old!

3 weeks!

August has been with us for 3 weeks now. It's a bit hard to believe.  Seems like he's been here a bit longer...

His current favorite activities are sleeping, being swaddled, being "shushed" loudly, sucking anyone's little finger, staring at patterns and flickering light, and looking cute for Grammy and Grampy on Face Time.  His least favorite things these days are gas, reflux, gas, and more reflux.  Fortunately, he can sometimes forget about those two evil things if he gets jostled around in the stroller and carseat or swung frantically back and forth (on the lowest setting!) in the ironically named "Nature's Touch Cradle Swing".   Needless to say, Mama and Papa are celebrating every poop and toot.

In between some of those activities, August had some moments of relaxing wakefulness today, and Mama took advantage of these to do a 3 week photo shoot.  It went so well, we even got in a little tummy time!

 

Grammy and Grampy visit

 Grammy and Grampy came to visit last week!  August met them at the door and for the next five days, he barely left their arms. Grampy got up at 3am every morning to feed the little kiddo and give Mama and Papa some time to sleep.  Grammy was up a few hours later and got to have some quality time with her grandson, during some of his most awake moments.  Everyone went on a walk through the neighborhood and to Redwood Park (August's second visit - this time he wasn't as thrilled about his stroller ride). 

On Sunday, everyone went to Babcia and Dziadek's house for dinner, and August got to spent some time with his Ciocia, Uncle Jeff, and cousins.

Grammy and Grampy left on Tuesday and were sorely missed by all.  We are looking forward to them coming back soon.
