This month, we got to visit one of our favorite places for the first time since the pandemic started, the Bay Area Discovery Museum. The kids love building, climbing, and exploring throughout this incredible place. 

That same weekend, we had our friends Leah, Nathan and Clara over for dinner in the back yard and managed to motivate the kids to do a beautiful sunset walk in the hiking space near our house. 

During our next free weekend day, we got to visit an old favorite pumpkin patch, with old friends from Auggie's preschool. Most of the kids loved all the exciting decorations and displays. Ella loved riding in the wagon, but did not enjoy the crowds so much. 

The next day, while Agnieszka worked, Daniel took the kids to his favorite local beach.

Amongst all the fun, Agnieszka and Daniel found themselves with a free day off together and escaped to Half Moon Bay for lunch, a hike in the misty Redwoods and some local Richmond wine tasting...Happy 10th Anniversary to us!

Finally, we made it to Halloween!  Auggie had his first real experience at pumpkin carving and loved it.  Ella requested a "toil and trouble" carving on her pumpkin - managing to remember this phrase for nearly 3 weeks!   Both kids had parades at the end of school - fortunately they were spaced 1 hour apart, so Daniel was able to make both parades and take some pictures.  We finished off the month with our traditional Parker get together for trick or treating.  Ella was not a fan of going door to door in the dark, but did enjoy handing out candy and sharing the candy she got.  The night ended with the Annual Trading Floor - all the kids with their candy spread out, trading for favorites with each other.
