June

June started off with a haircut and a camping trip!

After several months of contemplation, Auggie decided to cut and donate his long hair.  He looks great, but it did take a while for everyone to get used to it. 

During the first weekend of June, we drove out to Santa Rose for our first (in nearly a year) camping trip.  We met up with Leah, Nathan, Clara and their family for tent and cabin camping at Spring Lake Campground.   Camping was fun.  The kids played hide and seek, tossed balls and frisbees, and even rode their bikes - at various levels of proficiency - around the campground road.  Nathan brought his canoe, so those who were willing got to paddle around Spring Lake.  Ella preferred to watch from shore. 

After school closed for the summer, we has a fun playdate at our house. The kids picked blueberries, took turns on the swing and slide, and played all sorts of imaginary games. One of the biggest hits was the popcorn maker. 

For Father's Day, we went back to play in the sand and waves of Muir beach, before meeting up with our neighbors for brunch at the Pelican Inn.
