Auggie's school takes a 2 week break during August, which serves as a "graduation" time for all the kids (though many, like Auggie, continue on in the same classroom). Friday was a half day, so Agnieszka got to pick up Auggie from school.
Coincidentally, Auggie and Maya both wore black pants and Mickey Mouse (Auggie) and Minnie Mouse (Maya) red shirts. Everyone found it to be quite hilarious.
A few hours later, we went to the schools Graduation Ceremony. One by one, each classroom came up on the stage and the kids performed songs for their parents. It was as adorable as it sounds.
We ended the day with a playdate for the kids (Auggie, Maya, Colin and Shepard). The kids destroyed the house, while the grownups enjoyed wine, cheese and a (rare) warm El Cerrito evening outside. The only pictures we have were taken after the kids had spontaneously stripped naked and run out of the house, so we won't be posting those!
